Spencer Club are very proud to have a range of female members playing regular squash at our club. These include a number of females who participate within our Surrey League teams. Our existing female players cover of a range of standards from ex-international players through to recent beginners.
Ladies squash tournaments
We organise regular female squash tournaments in order to encourage our female members to play against one another and to determine our club rankings. As with all of our squash, these include both a competitive and social element, with food and drink high up on the post-tournament agenda!
A number of our ladies join in our regular squash sessions, for example our Clubnight sessions running every Tuesday evening from 7pm and our team training sessions taking place on Monday evenings from 7pm until 8.30pm. Players are encouraged to share a few drinks in the clubhouse afterwards as part of our strong social culture! Less experienced players like to join in our weekly beginner squash sessions taking place from 1.45pm to 3.15pm on Sunday afternoons. Whatever your playing standard, there is plenty of squash on offer at Spencer Club.
Spencer Club internal leagues – a chance to beat the guys!
We have a number of females competing within our monthly internal leagues, where players get the opportunity to play regular semi-competitive matches against other club members. Our Spencer Club internal leagues span across all levels and will match you up against other players of similar ability. Each month, you will get the chance to compete against a handful of other players and you will be able to progress through the divisions by earning promotions as your game continues to improve. Don’t worry though – our members enjoy a good mixture of competition and social interaction so there is plenty of fun to be had!
If you are unable to commit to playing squash on a regular basis, then you may prefer to either contact other members to organise the occasional ad hoc match, or alternatively to attend our weekly Clubnights on a Tuesday evening from7pm onwards at a cost of only £5. Our Clubnights are run by Roshan Mawar, our head coach, and offer players a combination of group coaching and match practice. These are perfect for individuals with busy or unpredictable schedules as there is no need to register or commit in advance – simply turn up whenever it suits you to!
