Off-peak Membership

Overview

Spencer Squash Club is very proud to offer a “Daybreaker” off-peak membership for players who prefer to play their squash either on:

  • Monday to Thursday up to 6.00 pm and from 9 pm;
  • All day Fridays
  • Weekends up to 9.00 am and after 12.45 pm

We have an active programme which includes the following benefits for our thriving day breaker members:

  • Monthly internal leagues to offer some regular competition and bragging rights!
  • A calendar of off-peak social squash tournaments
  • A network of regular daytime or weekend squash players who also prefer to play during off-peak hours
  • Attendance at our regular Tuesday evening Club-nights from 6:45 pm until 8:15 pm, hosted by our committee members
  • Invitations to our squash club social events

Off-peak social squash tournaments

We organise regular off-peak squash tournaments to encourage our Daybreaker members to play against one another in a friendly and competitive manner. These offer an excellent opportunity to meet our other day-breaker members so that you can identify new squash friends with whom you can enjoy playing future matches against.

Spencer Club internal leagues – a chance to show off your skills!

We have a number of Daybreakers competing within our monthly internal league, where players get the opportunity to play regular semi-competitive matches against other club members. Each month, you will get the chance to progress through the divisions by earning promotions as your game continues to improve.

Informal matches

If you are unable to commit to playing squash on a regular basis, then you may prefer to contact other daytime or weekend squash members to organise the occasional ad hoc match. By joining Spencer Squash Club as an off-peak “Daybreaker” member, you get access to our various WhatsApp groups, so you can get in contact with our many other off-peak members to make it really easy for you to organise matches at a time that suits you.

Squash Club-night sessions

All off-peak members are welcome to join in our Club Night squash sessions running every Tuesday evening from 6:45 pm at a cost of only £5. Our Club nights are run by our committee members and offer players match practice and general fun games, which is also a great way to meet new players. For these, you must register in advance, and details are available to all members or anyone considering becoming a member. Players are encouraged to share a few drinks in the clubhouse afterwards as part of our strong social culture! Book your next Tuesday night Club Session.
