Spencer Ladies – Squash Club Championships Summer – 2016
Last Saturday, Spencer Squash Club held its annual 2016 Ladies Club Championships. As expected, there was a big crowd for this tournament and we were very pleased to enjoy a consistently high level of squash from all seven of our female entrants.
Well played everybody and a huge congratulations to Angela Bonora for winning all of her six matches throughout the tournament, therefore winning first place in the 2016 Spencer Ladies Squash Club Championships. There were some very close matches and some great efforts from her opponents, however Angela held her nerves throughout in order to become the overall champion! The squash tournament lasted for over three hours and all players agreed that they experienced plenty of fun and running (!) throughout. We were also lucky enough to have a nice sunny afternoon and the supporters enjoyed a few drinks in the sunshine in between squash matches. After playing six matches each, the players were definitely happy to share a few drinks in the bar afterwards…!
Thanks to everybody for competing with the tournament and we hope that our female players will continue to enjoy our Spencer Ladies Programme via our regular ladies squash training sessions. We will also be holding other Spencer Ladies squash tournaments throughout the year that are open to all female squash players.
